Two Charged Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were later discharged.
The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
