Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts considerable social media audience
The young golfer can count on multiple well-known backers when she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns several international courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to compete and relax," she continued.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He told me to play, have fun, following the flow."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce golf to wider groups, specifically among younger fans.
The young star has substantial online presence and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
