Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A jet transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This incident isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
