Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday night. The athlete was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
